Program and Event Communications at Scale

Client: scaleLIT
Partnership Type: Rebrand leading into long-term program communications support

Context

As scaleLIT’s programs expanded, communications needed to support a growing volume of activity without slowing delivery. Throughout the year, the organization facilitates learning circles, digital literacy sessions, workforce-related programming, and partner convenings that require clear, consistent communication tied closely to service delivery.

In addition to these ongoing programs, scaleLIT also leads Beyond Books, its annual fundraiser and a key moment for storytelling and engagement. Together, these initiatives required communications that could support different types of work while remaining aligned and cohesive.

Following the rebrand, causeFX partnered with scaleLIT to support how programs and initiatives were communicated as they unfolded.

Our Approach

causeFX treated program and event communications as an extension of service delivery.

Rather than planning communications in isolation, we worked alongside scaleLIT’s leadership and program teams to align messaging, timelines, and execution with how programs actually operated. Communications priorities surfaced through weekly check-ins, shared planning tools, and close coordination around program calendars.

Support included website updates, email communications, social posts, event pages, FAQs, and follow-up materials. Sequencing mattered. Messaging needed to be clear, accurate, and responsive without pulling staff away from program responsibilities.

What This Looked Like in Practice

Across initiatives, communications work was shaped by active programs rather than abstract plans.

causeFX supported:

  • Learning circles, digital literacy sessions, and program-based initiatives

  • Program announcements and participation pathways

  • Coordinated communications for Beyond Books, alongside other organizational priorities

  • Pre-event, live, and post-event communications where appropriate

The goal was not to elevate one initiative over others, but to ensure clarity and continuity across all of them.

Outcome

Programs and initiatives remained visible, accessible, and clearly communicated even during high-volume periods.

scaleLIT was able to:

  • Maintain clarity across multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Ensure participants and partners had accurate, timely information

  • Support engagement and fundraising tied to real program activity

  • Preserve internal focus on delivery rather than coordination overhead

Communications functioned as connective tissue between services, stakeholders, and outcomes.

Why This Matters

When communications are grounded in programs rather than campaigns, they can support a wide range of initiatives without fragmenting attention or overburdening teams.

This work demonstrates how program communications can scale alongside services while remaining flexible and aligned.
